Product Overview

The Gator GRVTK1 is a convenience bundle providing everything needed to add a trailer or caravan camera to an existing reverse camera system. It connects to an existing PROLINK II or RCA-based reverse camera system or display.

Included components:

• GTK1 — 4-pin PROLINK trailer quick-connect kit (2m curly cable, weatherproof sockets, reverse trigger built in)
• G5MRCA — 6m RCA extension cable with reverse trigger (for connecting to RCA-based systems on the vehicle)
• PLC10 — 10m 4-pin PROLINK II extension cable (for running from the quick-connect point to the camera on the trailer)
• GT50L — heavy duty IP68 CMOS camera with 10 IR LEDs, loop system for PAL/NTSC/gridlines/mirror, PROLINK II connector with RCA adaptor included

Loop system on the GT50L camera:

• Blue loop: Default NTSC → cut for PAL
• Green loop: Default no gridlines → cut for gridlines
• White loop: Default rear view image → cut for reverse (mirror) image

For a standard Australian PAL reverse installation: cut the blue loop and the white loop.

Connection notes:

• Connecting to an existing PROLINK II system: the kit provides the trailer connection (GTK1 + PLC10 + GT50L). A separate PROLINK II vehicle extension cable is not included — purchase a PLC3, PLC5, or PLC10 separately if needed.
• Connecting to an RCA system: the G5MRCA 6m RCA cable is provided for the vehicle side.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does this kit include a display?

No. The GRVTK1 is an add-on kit — it connects to an existing reverse camera system or display. A monitor, head unit, or existing camera system must already be in place.

What loop cuts are required for a standard Australian PAL installation?

The GT50L defaults to NTSC and rear view (non-mirrored). For a standard Australian PAL reverse installation: cut the blue loop (PAL) and white loop (mirror/reverse image). Cut the green loop if parking gridlines are also wanted.

Does this kit work with PROLINK II monitors like the GT700SD?

Yes. The GT50L camera uses PROLINK II connectors, and the GTK1 and PLC10 are PROLINK II cables. Connect via a spare PROLINK II input on the monitor. If the vehicle side also needs an extension, purchase a PLC3, PLC5, or PLC10 separately — these are not included in the GRVTK1.

Can I use this with a head unit or RCA-only display?

Yes. The GT50L includes a PROLINK II to RCA adaptor. The G5MRCA 6m RCA extension cable is also included for the vehicle side. Connect the RCA adaptor output from the GT50L (via the trailer connector) to the G5MRCA, and then to the RCA camera input on your head unit or monitor.

Is the GTK1 trailer connection already included in this kit?

Yes. The GTK1 4-pin PROLINK trailer connection kit with curly cable, weatherproof sockets, and built-in reverse trigger is included. If you already own a GTK1, the GRVTK1 still provides added value through the camera, cables, and RCA adaptor bundled together.
