Product Overview

The Gator GT50L is a heavy duty surface mount camera from the Gator GT range, housed in a U-shaped mounting bracket for versatile positioning on trucks, mining equipment, and industrial vehicles. The U-bracket allows the camera to be angled for optimal coverage.

IP68 rated for continuous water submersion protection and resistant to mud and debris. Ten infrared LEDs provide 0.01 lux night vision for operations in extremely dark environments.

Three wire loops allow installer-adjustable settings:

• Blue loop: Default NTSC → cut for PAL
• Green loop: Default no gridlines → cut for parking gridlines
• White loop: Default rear view image → cut for reverse (mirror) image

A PROLINK II to RCA adaptor is included, enabling connection to both Gator GT PROLINK II display systems and standard RCA monitors.

12V/24V compatible suitable for both passenger-sized vehicles and heavy commercial vehicles.

Frequently Asked Questions

What loop cuts are required for a standard Australian PAL installation?

The GT50L defaults to NTSC. For a standard Australian PAL installation — cut the blue loop to switch to PAL. Cut the white loop if a mirror (reverse) image is also needed. Cut the green loop if parking gridlines are required.

Can this camera connect to a standard RCA monitor?

Yes. Unlike the GT18AHD (AHD only), the GT50L includes a PROLINK II to RCA adaptor that allows connection to both Gator GT PROLINK II displays and standard RCA monitors.

What is the difference between IP67, IP68, and IP69K?

IP67 protects against temporary water submersion (up to 1m for 30 minutes). IP68 protects against continuous water submersion at greater depths (manufacturer-specified). IP69K protects against high-pressure, high-temperature water jets. The GT50L's IP68 rating makes it suitable for continuous wet environments and submersion, but not high-pressure hosing (for that, see the GT18AHD at IP69K).

How many infrared LEDs does this camera have and what does that mean for night vision?

The GT50L has 10 infrared LEDs and a minimum illumination of 0.01 lux — providing clear vision in near-total darkness. This is significantly better than 0.2 lux cameras, which require some ambient light, and matches the performance of the GT18AHD (0 lux with 6 LEDs).

Is this camera suitable for 24V commercial vehicles?

Yes. The GT50L accepts both 12V and 24V input, making it suitable for heavy commercial trucks and buses as well as standard passenger vehicles.
