Product Overview

The Gator GT704DVR is a 7-inch commercial grade display monitor with 4 PROLINK II camera inputs and an integrated DVR function. It can display one, two, or four cameras simultaneously in single, dual split-screen, or quad view modes giving operators full all-round vehicle awareness.

The built-in DVR records to a micro SD card (up to 64GB, Class 10 or higher required, sold separately). The DVR records exactly what is displayed on screen — quad view records four cameras in a quad-split, dual view records two cameras in split screen, and single view records one camera.

DVR records in 1-minute loop files and automatically overwrites the oldest footage when the card is full.

Three of the four PROLINK II inputs have automatic reverse trigger capability. PAL/NTSC auto-switches for compatibility with any camera. Heavy duty metal mounting bracket and removable sunshade included.

Monitor only cameras are not included and must be purchased separately.

Does the DVR record all four cameras simultaneously?

The DVR records exactly what is displayed on the monitor — not four independent streams. If quad view is selected, the DVR records the quad-split as displayed. If two cameras are shown in split screen, the DVR records two cameras in split screen. Individual camera recording is not supported.

What SD card does the GT704DVR require?

A Class 10 or higher micro SD card up to 64GB capacity. Class 10 is the minimum required for reliable DVR recording — lower speed cards may cause recording errors. The SD card is sold separately.

What is the difference between the GT704DVR and the GT700SD?

Both are 7-inch commercial monitors with PROLINK II connections and 12/24V compatibility. The GT700SD has 3 inputs and no DVR. The GT704DVR has 4 inputs, a built-in DVR, single/dual/quad display modes, and higher resolution (1024×600 vs 800×480). The GT704DVR is the more capable and higher-specified monitor.

Are cameras included with the GT704DVR?

No. The GT704DVR is a monitor only. Cameras with PROLINK II connectors (such as the Gator GT50L or GT14SD) must be purchased separately and connected via PROLINK II cables or adaptors.

Can this monitor be used with non-Gator cameras?

The GT704DVR uses PROLINK II connections. Non-Gator cameras with standard RCA output can be connected using a PROLINK II to RCA adaptor. PAL/NTSC auto-switching ensures compatibility with cameras in either format.
