The Gator PLC15 is a 15-metre 4-pin PROLINK II extension cable designed for use with Gator PROLINK II camera systems. It extends existing PROLINK II camera cable runs for very long vehicles such as large trucks, semi-trailers, and long-wheelbase vehicles where the standard harness or the 10-metre PLC10 extension is not sufficient.

What is the difference between the PLC15 and the PLC10?

Both are PROLINK II extension cables with identical plug/socket configuration. The PLC10 is 10 metres and the PLC15 is 15 metres. Choose the PLC15 for very long vehicles — large trucks, semi-trailers — where a 10-metre extension is not sufficient.

Can the PLC15 be combined with the PLC10 for an even longer run?

Yes. Multiple PROLINK II extension cables can be daisy-chained. A PLC10 and a PLC15 together would provide a 25-metre extension. Contact the F.A.E. team if signal quality is a concern over very long combined cable runs.

When would I need 15 metres of extension?

A standard semi-trailer cabin-to-rear distance is typically 12–18 metres. For camera installations on semi-trailers and B-doubles where the camera is mounted at the very rear of the trailer, a 15-metre extension (or a combination of 10m + 15m) is required to reach from the rear camera to the monitor in the cab.

Is the PLC15 compatible with non-Gator PROLINK II systems?
