Product Overview

The Stinger HRVW001 is a complete, all-in-one radio replacement kit for select Volkswagen models (2005–2015). It bundles every component required for a professional aftermarket head unit installation including the ConnectPRO SWI-VW02 plug-and-play interface, Metra MT99-9011 black single/double DIN dash fascia, ST27AA25 dual diversity Fakra antenna adaptor, vehicle harness, and installation manuals.

The SWI-VW02 interface connects to the vehicle's CAN bus to convert factory commands to analogue outputs, retaining steering wheel audio controls (customisable) and providing 12V accessory, reverse trigger, park brake, tachometer, speed signal (VSS), and illumination outputs. The factory basic amplified audio system is also retained.

Please note:

• The Dynaudio digital amplified system is not retained — standard/basic factory amplified system only
• CAN bus output functionality is only available if the feature is present on the vehicle's network
• Head unit is not included

Does this kit retain the Dynaudio sound system?

No. The HRVW001 retains the basic factory amplified audio system only. The Dynaudio digital amplified system is not retained. If your VW is fitted with Dynaudio, this kit is not suitable for maintaining your factory audio quality — contact the F.A.E. team to discuss alternative solutions.

Are steering wheel controls fully retained and customisable?

Yes. The SWI-VW02 ConnectPRO interface retains factory steering wheel audio controls with customisable button mapping — allowing you to adjust which button controls which head unit function to suit your installation.

Does this kit include a head unit?

No. The HRVW001 is a radio replacement kit — it includes everything needed to install an aftermarket head unit, but the head unit itself must be purchased separately.

Is AUX or USB retention included?

No. AUX and USB retention are not included with the HRVW001. If you need to retain factory AUX/USB ports, an additional retention module will be required.

Does this kit work with all VW Golf and Jetta variants in the listed years?

The HRVW001 is confirmed for the Golf Mk5/Mk6 (5K, 2005–2013) and Jetta A5/A6 (2005–2015). For specific trim level confirmation or to verify Dynaudio vs standard audio system fitment, contact the F.A.E. team before purchasing.
